    Yemen receives USD5.59b from UAE in 4 years

    (MENAFN) Yemen was announced to have taken delivery of USD5.59 billion of aid from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in four years.

    Between April 2015 and June 2019, the UAE provided its foreign aid to Yemen in order to support the country's reconstruction of a range of Yemeni sectors.

    Those renovations in Yemen which used the UAE amount included key infrastructure as well as the recovery of health and social services.

    Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation confirmed that 66 percent of the amount was used for Yemeni development projects and 34 percent of the figure was used for humanitarian aid.
