    17 percent decline in Iranian foreign debt

    (MENAFN) Iraq recorded a year-on-year decline by around 17 percent in its foreign debt for the past Iranian calendar year to stand at USD9.339 billion.

    Official figures reveled that long and medium-term debt accounted for USD7.187 billion of the overall external debt in Iran during the period.

    Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) unveiled, short-term debt amounted for USD2.151 billion of the total external debt.

    CBI confirmed that Iran reached USD10.34 billion in its total foreign debt during the third quarter of the past Iranian year.
