    UAE seeks to enhance trade cooperation with India

    (MENAFN) Headed by non-oil trade, India and the UAE purposes to promote trade to reach 60 percent increase in the next five years, Hamad Buamim, President and CEO, Dubai Chamber has emphasized.

    Buamim stated, "Plans are currently in place to boost UAE-India trade by 60 percent over the next five years. There are several strategic bilateral agreements that have been signed in recent years which aim to boost cooperation between the two countries in several economic sectors and fields such as manufacturing, IT, renewable energy, infrastructure and finance".

    Going forward, bilateral trade and investment in other main domains and areas like healthcare, electronics and electrical, real estate, technology and gems and jewellery, will be the concentration fields.

    He also affirmed that Dubai and India increase economic cooperation in the upcoming period, this trend will lead to boost in bilateral non-oil trade beyond the USD31.4 billion accounted for in 2018.
