Iran, Azerbaijan to bolster transport ties
(MENAFN) Iran explored with Azerbaijan means to strengthen their bilateral relations and collaboration on various areas, mainly in transportation.
Discussions were held in Tehran between Iranian Transport and Urban Development Minister Mohammad Eslami and his Azeri counterpart Ramin Guluzade.
Eslami highlighted the solid and long-standing ties between Iran and Azerbaijan, calling for the two countries to deepen their cooperation and relations.
He added, in reference to the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Transportation Cooperation Committee meeting, that "this event is a good opportunity to overcome the obstacles and problems in the way of our joint projects including the Astara (Iran) -Astara (Azerbaijan) freeway, the joint border bridge and the new terminal connecting Azerbaijan's roads network to the Rasht-Astara highway."
