Dana Gas achieves jump in KRI project reserves share

(MENAFN) Sharjah-based gas giant Dana Gas recorded a 10 percent boost in its shares of hydrocarbon reserves located at Pearl Petroleum's Khor Mor and Chemchemal fields in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).

Dana Gas announced on Sunday that it achieved such a boost after accomplishing a fresh re-certification of reserves.

Reports unveiled that Dana Gas' shares in Pearl Petroleum are accounting for 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent, climbing from 990 million barrels of oil.

CEO of Dana Gas Allman-Ward affirmed that "the Gaffney Cline report has independently confirmed Dana Gas' 2P reserves in our KRI assets at over 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent and our belief that the Khor Mor and Chemchemal fields will most likely be the biggest gasfields, not just in the Kurdistan Region Iraq, but the whole of Iraq, making them world-class assets."
