Iranian eggs exports to Iraq increase

(MENAFN) Iran was announced to be exporting 150 tons of eggs to Iraq per day, as the Islamic Republic turned into a major competitor in the field.

Mohammad Moradi, official at Mihan Central Union of Producers of Egg-Laying Hens, confirmed that Ukraine and Azerbaijan are also among regional rivals to Iran besides Turkey in the business of exporting eggs.

According to the official, "ten containers of eggs [from Iran] are being exported to Iraq on a daily basis," noting that "currently, the average daily export of eggs to Iraq is 150 tons."

Moradi further confirmed that Iran sometimes exports 200 tons of eggs, a boost that follows certify the World Health Organization (WHO) issued for bird flu-free Iranian eggs.
