    Iran inks transport deal with Georgia

    (MENAFN) Iran penned a memorandum of understanding with Georgia to strengthen their bilateral relations and cooperation in road transportation.

    This agreement was signed during a meeting of the Joint Commission on International Transportation Cooperation that is being held for two days in the domains of in road, commodity and passenger.

    Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development of Iran Abdolhasshem Hassannia inked the deal with Georgian Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Akaki Saghirashvili.

    Both sides reached an understanding on matters covering strengthening transport collaboration as well as easing the passage of transportation fleet in both Iran and Georgia.

    They also agreed on improving the safety under global standards along with regulating passenger services and finding a solution on transportation issues during arrivals and departures.
