Iran eyes at least 2.8m bpd in oil sales

(MENAFN) Iranian President Hassan Rouhani demanded parties of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) for the Islamic Republic to hit at least 2.8 million barrels per day (bpd) in its oil exports.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif affirmed: "Iran's oil sales should be restored to the level in May 2018 when the United States withdrew from the JCPOA."

U.S. President Trump announced withdrawal of the 2015 nuke accord back in May of last year as well as declaring sanctions against Iran.

Zarif also called on European signatories of the deal to commit to their pledges on Iran making a comeback in petrodollars following oil sales.
