    Turkey sets USD1b as trade target with Tajikistan

    (MENAFN) Bilateral trade between Turkey and Tajikistan is targeted at USD1 billion, a surge compared to the current USD380 million trade between them.

    Turkish Minister for Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank assured that "the progress in economic relations between Turkey and Tajikistan will be beneficial for all the Central Asian countries."

    Last year, Turkey and Tajikistan locked USD380 million in the volume of their trade, the minister confirmed during the tenth Turkey-Tajikistan Joint Economic Commission (JEC) meeting.

    Both sides were also announced to have inked a cooperation deal on investment, industry, technology, agriculture, energy, transportation, construction, education, culture and tourism.
