    67 percent jump in Iran's commodity shipments

    (MENAFN) Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) revealed a 67 percent surge in the volume of products that were shipped into Iranian ports during the first five months of this Iranian year.

    Ports Affairs Director of PMO Ravanbakhsh Behzadian confirmed that shipments into Iranian ports stood at around 11 million tons of basic products during the five-month period.

    Most of goods shipments were seen to have gone into Imam Khomeini Port in southwestern Khuzestan Province, the director general unveiled.

    On annual basis, a surge by 22 percent was reported in loading and unloading goods at Imam Khomeini Port to reach 12.4 million tons since this year started.
