    Iraq eyes more investments from China

    (MENAFN) Foreign Minister of Iraq Mohammed al-Hakim sent an appeal for the Chinese market to start investing more in a range of Iraqi domains.

    China is considered as a major and significant strategic partner for Iraq, the foreign minister told China's Ambassador to Iraq Zhang Tao.

    Al-Hakim explored with the envoy means to strengthen collaboration between Iraq and China for the benefit of the two countries.

    "Iraq is interested in strengthening coordination and cooperation with Beijing at all levels, as China is an important strategic partner of Iraq," al-Hakim noted.

    Both sides were confirmed in a statement to have "discussed regional issues of common interest and the developments in the Middle East as well as Iraq's vision for mechanism of a solution to end the crises."
