    Turkey commences free trade negotiations with Mexico

    (MENAFN) Turkey commenced with Mexico discussions on closing a free trade agreement, with the two countries projected to achieved "a level that matches the real potential" with joint efforts.

    "Fruitful" negotiations were carried out between Deputy Minister for Trade Gonca Yilmaz Batur and the Undersecretary of Foreign Trade of Mexico Luz Maria de la Mora during the Turkey-Mexico Trade and Investment Seminar.

    Deputy Minister Batur pointed out that "the volume of trade between our countries exceeded $1.2 billion in 2018."

    "2019's first half also showed a similar trend in our bilateral trade. Exports to Mexico reached $287.4 million, while imports from Mexico reached $276.1 million," Batur added.
