Syrian trucks to pay Jordan USD112.84 as fuel tax

(MENAFN) The Jordanian customs department was announced to be imposing fuel tax on Syrian trucks that enter the Kingdom in response to Syria not sticking by an agreement.

Syrian trucks entering Jordan, under the customs department decision, will pay a USD112.84 fee per vehicle under the fuel tax.

Back in 2009, Jordan and Syria signed a memorandum of understanding that requires trucks of the two countries to be granted taxes waivers.

According to the customs department, Syria slapped an USD80 fee on Jordanian trucks entering the country to cause the Kingdom to take action.
