Iraq, Turkey to strengthen cooperation
(MENAFN) Iraq expressed its complete interest in joining hands with Turkey for stronger and deeper cooperation within all areas and sectors, including trade.
"Useful and constructive" discussions on the matter were carried out in Baghdad between Iraqi Oil Minister Thamir al-Ghadhban and his Turkish counterpart Fatih Donmez.
Both ministers addressed the anticipated Iraqi oil export pipeline system project that seeks to connect Kirkuk to Ceyhan, a Turkish port, on the Mediterranean Sea.
Al-Ghadhban further confirmed that he explored with Donmez the pipeline project between Rumaila oilfield and Jordan's port of Aqaba on the Red Sea.
