    Iraqi crude oil to reach Jordan

    (MENAFN) Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Hala Zawati announced that the Kingdom is set to take delivery of crude oil from Iraq, the first shipment since 2014.

    Minister Zawati confirmed that Jordanian and Iraqi trucks are loaded with crude oil in Kirkuk, with Sunday scheduled for the trucks to set off for the Kingdom.

    According to minister Zawati, Jordan will be receiving on Tuesday the 10,000 barrels of Iraqi oil which are expected to meet 7 percent of Jordan's daily demand.

    Zawati further affirmed that "this is the start of a new era in energy cooperation between the two countries."
