    Lebanon to receive USD2b WB investment

    (MENAFN) Lebanon was reported by the National News Agency to be receiving USD2 billion of investments from the World Bank in support of various sectors and domains in the country, including transportation.

    World Bank regional director for the Middle East, Saroj Kumar Jha, emphasized that "there are great opportunities for growth in Lebanon."

    "We have discussed with President Michel Aoun the potential of investing in transport, roads, and water projects in the country," the official revealed.

    Saroj further highlighted the World Bank's endorsement to Lebanon's President Aoun and the government in terms of reform plans.
