Iran to seal trade agreement with India

(MENAFN) Iran, its Ambassador to India Ali Chegeni announced, is expected to secure a significant trade agreement with India as the two sides look to reinforce and deepen their trade cooperation.

Envoy Chegeni affirmed that Iran and India voiced their anticipation for a Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) to turn trade between them into a "cheaper and simpler" activity.

According to the envoy, the two countries are looking to carry out a new round of negotiations aimed at sealing "very few formalities" before the PTA is inked.

Chegeni also conveyed wishes for the execution of a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement between the two countries following approvals.
