(MENAFN) Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed Egypt to have registered a 218 percent jump in its exports of cotton during the third quarter of the farming season 2018-19.

During the period, CAPMAS announced, Egypt exported 51,000 tonnes of cotton compared to the 16,000 tonnes exported in the previous season.

CAPMAS further explained that this boost in cotton exports were attributed to a surge witnessed in production.
