Israel implements free trade deal with Canada

(MENAFN) Israel was announced to have witnessed the implementation of a fresh free trade deal with Canada, as governments of the two countries ratified it.

Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement (CIFTA) expands the level of trade collaboration between the two sides to cover more areas.

As the modernized deal, Israel is being granted a waiver from tariffs or cuts in tariffs for Canadian products, such as wine, grain products, vegetables and fruit.

Meanwhile, Canadian firms are receiving tariff waivers from Israel as well as duty-free import quotas for goods including agri-food and fisheries products.
