    1st Iraqi crude oil batch reaches Jordan

    (MENAFN) Jordanian Minister of Energy Hala Zawati announced the Kingdom to have taken delivery of the first 10,000 barrels of crude oil from Iraq.

    Iraq will be sending 10,000 barrels of oil daily through oil tankers to Jordan with a USD16 discount as per an agreement that the two countries penned earlier this year.

    Minister Zawati stressed that "the arrival of the first Iraqi batch of oil trucks highlights the progress of economic cooperation between Jordan and Iraq, and the start of a new stage in bilateral relations."

    Zarqa-based the Petroleum Refinery Company received the oil shipment which was loaded at the Baiji station in Kirkuk.
