    Turkey eyes stronger trade with China

    (MENAFN) Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan announce that the country reached an agreement with China on establishing more balanced and reinforced cooperation in trade and economy.

    While addressing the China-Turkey Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum, the trade minister highlighted the potential of stronger relations between the two countries.

    Last year, Turkey and China hit USD23.6 billion in the volume of their bilateral trade, the minister noted while pointing out to the USD1.1 billion registered in 2001.

    Pekcan emphasized that "China has become the third biggest trading partner of Turkey after Russia and Germany."

    "We look for the ways to maintain a balanced trade relation," she further added.
