    Iraq reviews relations with Turkey, UN

    (MENAFN) Iraq is looking to established stronger collaboration and bilateral ties with both Turkey and the United Nations (UN), with Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi discussing the matter with the two sides.

    Special representative of the UN secretary-general for Iraq, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert engaged in discussions with the Iraqi prime minister on relations between Iraq and the UN.

    Both sides explored "cooperation between Iraq and the UN and the positive developments that Iraq is witnessing in the security and economic fields," a prime minister's office statement revealed.

    Prime Minister Abdul Mahdi also reviewed the matter with Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Fatih Yildiz, discussing cooperation within various areas, including economy, water and reconstruction.
