Algeria seals energy deal with ExxonMobil
(MENAFN) Algeria was announced on Monday to have signed a cooperation deal with a leading American energy company, ExxonMobil.
Under the agreement, the two sides will join hands in conducting a study on the hydrocarbon potential spotted within Sahara desert in Algeria.
ExxonMobil is keen on contributing to Algeria's hydrocarbon mining sector, as affirmed the Algerian National Agency for the Evaluation of Hydrocarbon Resources (ALNAFT).
Signing the agreement comes in line with efforts ALNAFT is making to achieve development and growth within the hydrocarbon mining industry.
This is "the first step of ExxonMobil in Algeria for the prospection of opportunity in hydrocarbon research and exploitation," as ALNAFT emphasized.
