    Bahrain's value of imports decreases by 10 percent in Q3 of 2019

    (MENAFN) Bahrain's value of imports declined by 10 per cent, reaching USD3.38 billion during third quarter (Q3) of 2019, compared to USD3.75 billion for the same quarter the previous year, said a report.

    The top 10 countries accounted for 67 per cent of the value of imports, with the remaining countries accounting for 33 per cent, said the foreign trade report by Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) for Q3, which encompasses balance of trade, imports, exports (national origin) and re-exports.

    China ranked first when it came to imports to Bahrain with a total of USD583.5 million; Australia came second with USD225.46 million; and Saudi Arabia ranked third with USD217.50 million, according to the report.

    Non-agglomerated iron ores and concentrates emerged as the top product imported into Bahrain with a total value of USD281.16 million, while aluminium oxide was second with USD214.85 million, and floating or submersible drilling platforms came in third with USD177.72 million.
