Qatar to boost trade volume with Balkan states
(MENAFN) Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba, Qatar Chamber's Second Vice Chairman, met yesterday with a media delegation from Balkan states in the presence of head of Qatari-Bulgarian Business Council, Peter Michalos.
Al Athba discussed with the visiting delegation Qatar's economy, role of the Chamber in activating the private sector and maximizing its contribution in the economic development, as well as the role of the chamber and private sector in overcoming the siege and Qatar National Vision 2030.
He noted that Qatar and Balkan states enjoy strong relation at all levels, but their t is still below expectations and does not reflect the huge potentials that are available in both sides.
He said that Qatar's trade with Belgaria, Serbia and Greece reached to USD114.56m, including USD23mn with Bulgaria, USD 7m with Serbia and USD 84m with Greece.
