Turkey to launch blockchain-based digital currency

(MENAFN) As said in data from the country's Annual Presidential Program, Turkey is working on a blockchain-based digital currency and will start the currency after the finishing of its design, improvement and testing stages but the testing is likely to begin in 2020.

China is planning to be the first country to start a domestic digital currency; digital currencies use the blockchain technology recognized as "distributed shared ledgers" to record dealings.

Turkey's program plans to make a roadmap for the improvement of Fintech system in Turkey; a financial technopark will be created in Istanbul.
