    Turkey's exports boost in 10M/19

(MENAFN) The trade minister said on Friday, under Turkey's state funding for exports, the top item in the Trade Ministry budget, some USD642.7 million will be provided to help exporters this year.

Ruhsar Pekcan told Parliament's Planning and Budget Commission "In the first 10 months of the year, the foreign trade balance made a positive contribution of USD29.1 billion,"

She stated that this positive performance in net exports helped fuel economic increase, with net exports contributing 9.7 points to Turkey"s growth in the first half of 2019.

"While a significant portion of imports were done in dollars, a significant portion was also in euros," Pekcan said, adding that in the last nine months, a 5.9percent drop in euro/dollar parity had a negative USD3.92 billion effect on exports.

Highlighting government support in almost every field of exports, she said nearly 12,000 green passports - which ease visa requirements for many countries - have been supplied to exporters.
