Turkish stocks rises
(MENAFN) Turkey's benchmark stock index ended the day up 0.82percent to close at 104,828.18 points on Wednesday.
Starting the day at 104,049.94 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 855.82 points from 103,972.36 points at Tuesday"s close.
During midweek trading, the BIST 100 drifted between 103,682.44 points and 105,025.20 points - 60 stocks on the index rose, 31 fell and nine remained flat compared to the previous close.
Closing the day with a market value of nearly USD123.3 billion, the benchmark index posted a daily trading volume of USD1.6 billion.
By market capitalization, Turkish conglomerate Koc Holding, private lenders Garanti BBVA and Akbank were the top companies of BIST 100.
The shares of national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, defense company Aselsan, and aviation company Pegasus posted the highest trading volumes.
