    Iran exports 17 domestically-made medicines to Russia

    (MENAFN) Director of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Health, Mohsen Asadi announced that seventeen nationally-made medicines, containing high-tech drugs, will be exported to Russia.

    He said, since last year, negotiations have been underway with the Russian Ministry of Health for trade in medicine, adding that a meeting was also held in Moscow last week in this regard.

    The meeting was attended by both deputy health ministers of Iran and Russia held on November 20, in line with the goal of cooperation and within the framework of a daylong seminar on the rules and processes of registration of medicines and medical equipment in Russia.

    The two countries collaborated in the field of medicine and medical equipment for the past five years, he said, adding that Russia has a huge USD20-billion drug market and Iran plans to expand cooperation with the neighboring country.
