    CBUAE denies claims of article published on "potentially fraudulent website"

    (MENAFN) The claims of an article issued on a "potentially fraudulent website," was denied by the Central Bank of the UAE, the article said that the "Governor of the Central Bank endorses a private crypto currency trading platform."


    According to a statement by CBUAE, the article, which was published on 4th December, 2019, has wrong information and its position on crypto currency is "well-known."


    The statement informed that, "The Central Bank does not approve any private crypto currencies or schemes, and has not issued any licenses in the UAE."


    CBUAE said that, "CBUAE believes that private crypto currencies pose potential risks related to price volatility, money laundering and terrorist financing."
