South Sudan to build strong institutions to reduce widening income inequalities

(MENAFN) According to experts, South Sudan should construct strong organizations and rule of law to trim down widening profits inequalities, poverty and unemployment as it looks for revival from 6 years of conflict.

Juba's weak performance worldwide in the human development index (HDI) 2019 at 186 out of 189 countries was because of the shortage of strong organizations and rule of law to curb widening inequality and poverty, as said by Aggrey Tisa Sabuni, presidential economic advisor.

Sabuni said in Juba that, "the real drivers of inequality, poverty and unemployment have to do with the governance system in place. Put a proper governance system in place to me means the rest of the things will be in place."

He added that, "it means the institutions will be well established, they will be strong and they will deliver."
