    Iran: daily gasoline consumption falls by 22 percent

    (MENAFN) According to Eghtesadonline news website, the daily gasoline usage in Iran dropped by 22 percent since November 15 when the government rationed gasoline and increased the price.


    Iran increased 50 percent of the gasoline prices and rationed its use to 60 liters for every car for each month, looking forward to limit gasoline consumption and trafficking.


    Prior to the new policy, Iranians used 98.7 million liters of gasoline for each day on average among Oct. 23 and Nov. 14. However, throughout the 3 weeks after the plan was executed, the average daily consumption dropped to 76.6 million liters for each day.
