    Fiberglass ship exported from Iran to gulf

    (MENAFN) As said by General Manager of Industry, mine and production facilitation at Qeshm FTZ Mohammad Mehdi Berenji, another cargo ship produced at Iran's Qeshm Free Trade Zone (FTZ), which is placed on the Qesm island in the Persian Gulf, has been exported to one of the Gulf countries.


    According to Berenji, the cost of the ship, made from fiberglass, is USD15, 000 and the ship was built according to the investor's order, adding that, the length of the vessel is 33 meters, the beam is 9.6 meters and the draft is 4.3 meters.


    Berenji said that, the vessel can transport 157 tons of cargo; 20 manufacturing corporations of Iran's shipbuilding industry work in the free zone.


    A vessel with the capacity of transporting 150 tons of cargo, built by Qeshm Azin Negin Boum Company, was exported from the Qeshm Free Trade Zone to the UAE on December 7.
