USD270 billion investments in airport infrastructure development projects by UAE
(MENAFN) According to the official news agency WAM, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has up to now invested about USD270 billion in airport infrastructure improvement projects.
As said in a statement by Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, director general of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, "these investments span development projects across the country a fleet of 884 commercial aircraft".
The aviation sector is experiencing important and quick development in air transport also, airport construction and improvement, leading to the expansion of regional and international economies, as he said.
Suwaidi's comments came before the future Global Investment in Aviation Summit, GIAS 2020, planned on January 27-29 in Dubai.
