    Turkey's daily electricity usage decrease by 0.5 percent

    (MENAFN) Official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) showed that, on Thursday, Turkey's daily electricity usage dropped by 0.5 percent to 892,015 megawatt-hours.


    According to data from TEIAS, hourly power usage peaked at 18:00 local time with 42,200 megawatt-hours; the country's electricity usage decreased to its lowest point of 29,502 megawatt-hours at 05:00.


    On Thursday, total electricity making arrived at 896,952 megawatt-hours, with a 0.4 percent drop in comparison with the previous day; most of the output came from natural gas plants with 246,896 megawatt-hours.


    Turkey's electricity exports totaled to 7,585 megawatt-hours on Thursday and imports amounted to 1,648 megawatt-hours; imported coal plants and hydroelectricity followed with 194,354 megawatt-hours and 159,859 megawatt-hours, respectively.
