    Egyptian economy grew at 5.6 percent at 2018/2019 financial year

    (MENAFN)Compared with 5.3 percent in the 2017/2018 fiscal year, the economy grew at 5.6 percent in the 2018/2019 financial year, according to Egyptian Ministers' Cabinet.

    The recent growth ratio has been attributed to the rise in a number of key industries, in particular telecommunications sector according to an info-graph published by the cabinet's official facebook page.

    Based on the cabinet, the telecommunications sector rose by 16.7 percent, followed by a 9.8 increase in manufacturing, an 8.8 increase in construction, a 3.8 rise in education and health services, a 3.3 expand in the agriculture and finally the industrial sector rose by 2.8.

    Both private and public invests rose by 27.9 percent which contributed to the current rate of economic growth.
