    Jordan: production volume of raw phosphate grow by 1.2 million tons

    (MENAFN) According to Chairman of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) Muhammad Thneibat, in 2019, the production level of raw phosphate grew by 1.2 million tons to 9,231,125 tons, in comparison with 8,022,399 tons in 2018.


    As said by Thneibat, the company and its affiliates reached "record numbers" in terms of production and sales; last year's sales level of raw phosphate increased by one million tons to 9,073,094, in comparison with 8,062,798 tons in 2018.


    He added that, the Indo-Jordanian Chemicals Company, which is fully owned by the JPMC, in 2019 recorded the "highest annual production rate of phosphoric acid ever", arriving at 260,361 tons and increasing the design capacity of the company's factories, which is 224,000 tons.


    The Jordanian-Indian Fertilisers Company's manufacture of phosphoric acid increased from 476,200 tonnes in 2018 to 491,950 tons in 2019, while sales grew from 466,346 tons in 2018 to 521,243 tons in 2019, Thneibat noted.
