Iran produces about 15.4 million tons of steel ingots
(MENAFN) According to a report by IRNA, in the last 3 quarters of 2019, Iran produced about 15.4 million tons of steel ingots and the volume of steel products in the country has grown by 6 percent to reach 10.141 million tons in the first 9 months of this year.
Iran's yearly steel products output is set to arrive at 28 million tons by March 19, as said by the Iranian deputy industry, mine and trade minister, Jafar Sarqini.
By the end of the year (March 19), the industry ministry is planning to raise exports of steel products to 12 million tons, Jafar Sarqini informed.
The official said that, the value of exports of such commodities is estimated to arrive at USD9 billion.
