    Turkey's industrial production in November 2019 higher than EU's average

    (MENAFN) In November 2019, Turkey's industrial production exceeded the EU's average in the same month; according to data from official statistics offices, Eurostat and TurkStat, while the EU average was negative 1.3 percent, the index decreased 1.5 percent in the euro zone, and increased 5.1 percent in Turkey.


    Turkey overtook 23 of 25 EU countries, of which data are available in November 2019; the industrial output increased 5.7 percent in Hungary and 5.6 percent in Poland; the index decreased the most in Greece with 8.3 percent, while Romania 7.5 percent and Estonia 7.2 percent.


    Industrial output in main EU economies, known as locomotive, also performed below expectations; the index in Germany, the main economy in the union, decreased 4 percent yearly in November.


    While it increased 1.2 percent in France, Italy also posted a decrease of 0.6 percent in November 2019, compared to November 2018; the U.K.'s industrial outlook dropped 1.9 percent as well.
