    Turkey's daily electricity usage grow by 17.46 percent

    (MENAFN) Official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) showed that, Turkey's daily electricity usage rose by 17.46 percent to 876,627 megawatt-hours on Monday.


    According to data from TEIAS, hourly power usage peaked at 18:00 local time with 42,520 megawatt-hours; Turkey' electricity usage decreased to its lowest point of 27,229 megawatt-hours at 05:00.


    On Monday, total electricity production arrived at 880,602 megawatt-hours with a 17.45 percent raise in comparison with the last day and most of the output came from natural gas plants at 223,868 megawatt-hours.


    Imported coal plants and hydroelectricity plants followed with 205,905 megawatt-hours and 148,513 megawatt-hours, respectively; Turkey's electricity exports totaled 7,389 megawatt-hours, while imports were 3,414 megawatt-hours on Monday.
