New Iranian satellite Zafar to be launched
(MENAFN) According to the Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, in a few weeks, the new Iranian satellite Zafar will be sent into the orbit.
Zafar will be released before February 11 and 2 versions of Zafar have been constructed, so that if the first launch was unsuccessful, the second satellite will be set right away as a replacement, as said by Jahromi.
Jahromi also said that, the new satellite will be sent to space with the Iranian Simorgh satellite carrier.
Zafar is a 90-kg remote-sensing satellite prepared with color cameras and can be used for reviewing oil reserves, mines, jungles and natural disasters, official IRNA news agency informed.
