Turkey's benchmark stock index closed week down 1.04 percent
(MENAFN) The week was closed by Turkey's benchmark stock index at 121,015.14 points, a drop of 1.04 percent from the last close and Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index began the day at 122,476.31 points and as of the daily close, it had lost 1,268.73 points from Thursday's close of 122,283.87 points.
During the day, the index's minimum level was 120,912.80 points, and the maximum was 122,812.20 points and the whole market worth of the BIST 100 was USD140 billion by market close, with a daily trading volume of USD1.9 billion.
On the last transaction day of the week, 24 stocks on the index increased, 74 dropped, and 2 were flat in comparison with Thursday.
National flag carrier Turkish Airlines, insurance firm Gunes Sigorta, and iron/steel producer Kardemir posted the highest trading volumes.
