Arab countries' imports of Brazilian coffee rise by 29 percent
(MENAFN)
This Thursday, the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafe) announced in a report that the Arab nation's imports amount of Brazilian coffee recorded in January an increase by 29.1 percent to 121,700 60-kg bags on an annual basis.
According to the report, Brazil's profits of its exported coffee to the said countries have seen a year-on-year growth by 20.17 percent to USD 13.7 million in January.
Generally, Brazil's revenues from its exported coffee declined by 5.6 percent USD 438.14 million on an annual basis with 3.2 million shipped coffee bags, down 7.2 percent from the same period.
The bag of coffee cost averaged at USD 136.00 acting an annual rise by 1.7 percent.
The figures showed that soluble coffee hit by 29.8 percent annual increase to 9.8 percent of the total coffee exports in January, at 315,300 bags, whereas a rise by 48.6 percent was seen in the 223,800 shipped bags of conilon (robusta) which accounted for 6.9 percent of the exports. As for Arabica coffee, it accounted for 83.2% of the total shipments, at 2.7 million bags sent.
