    Iran's overall foreign debts decline by 3 percent in 9 months

    (MENAFN) Based on a newly-issued report, Iranian foreign debt was managed to be reduced by nearly USD million, in accordance with a nine-month period ended in 2019's December.


    The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) was quoted by the state-run IRNA agency as saying that on December 21, 2019, the overall foreign debts declined by 3 percent to USD 9.053 billion compared to the figure of nine month before.


    Last year, these debts stood at USD 8.678 billion in June declining by seven percent from the USD 9.339 billion of March.


    According to data released by the CBI, Iran's recent foreign debts amounts to USD 7.548 billion in long-term debts and USD 1.505 billion in short-term ones.
