Jordan in 13th place among 20 Arab economies about estimated GDP expansion

(MENAFN) According to the Prospects for Arab Economies Report, Jordan was in the 13th place between 20 Arab economies in terms of estimated GDP expansion for the year 2020 with an expansion rate that will probably stand at 2.4 percent.

Jordan was ranked after Djibouti, Mauritania, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco, Oman, Somalia, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia and Algeria by the report that was released by the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation.

According to Adel Bino, an economist and professor of economy at the University of Jordan, "Jordan has been implementing several reforms, including the government economic incentive bundles, and is now at their 5th reform package".

Ha added that, while some of the government's decisions about the economy still need over a few months to happen, some sectors are already welcoming the improvements.
