    60 percent of Iran's power generation capacity created by private sector funding

    (MENAFN) The private sector funding has made 60 percent of Iran's power generation capacity and more investment is being created in this sector, according to Head of Iran's Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution Management Company, known as Tavanir.


    As said by Mohammad-Hassan Motevalizadeh, the energy ministry has been following the building of more than 3,000 megawatts (MW) capacity of new power plants in the present Iranian calendar year.


    With a total capacity of 3,933 MW, the government was going to invest 22 new power plant units in the recent Iranian year with upgrading and growing the efficiency of existing power plants to add another 461 MW of new capacity, as said in early May 2019 by the energy ministry.


    Motevalizadeh further highlighted the completion of using up management programs across the country as he added that, recently there is no problem concerning the supply of electricity across Iran.
