    USD1.04 billion borrowed by Turkish Treasury from domestic markets

    (MENAFN) According to the Treasury and Finance Ministry, the Turkish Treasury took USD1.04 billion from domestic markets this week.


    On Monday, USD532.05 million in two-year fixed coupon rate Treasury bills - reopen, semiannually, 5th issue were sold in an auction; on Wednesday, the Treasury bills will be established and matured on October 20, 2021.


    The whole tender totaled USD1.08 billion, with a 49.3 percent accepted/tendered rate and according to the Treasury; the term rate of the 602-day Treasury bills was approved at 5.75 percent, while the yearly simple and compound interest rates were respectively 11.51 percent and 11.84 percent.


    The Treasury issued two-year Turkish lira overnight reference rate (TLREF)-indexed Treasury bills semiannually, reopen, and second issue amounting to USD499.4 million, on Tuesday.
