Libya: daily oil production to decrease

(MENAFN) As said in a statement by Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC), Libya's every day oil production decreased from over 1.2 million barrels to about 135,000 barrels.

According to the statement, "the current levels of production are 135,723 barrels per day, as of Feb. 25, the lowest level of production since 2011".

It added that, "forced restriction of production has resulted in financial losses exceeding USD2 billion ".

On Jan. 18, tribal leaders in eastern Libya blocked oil ports and fields, saying the UN-backed government is using oil profits to help armed groups against the east-based army.
