    Central Bank of UAE's gold reserve stands at AED5.31 billion

    (MENAFN) In comparison with AED 4.04billion in December 2019, the Central Bank of the UAE's gold reserve totaled AED5.31 billion in January.


    This expansion came with the current stable increases in the yellow metal to USD1650 for each ounce, making one year gains of 32 percent.


    Its reserves of gold increased exponentially since 2015, which is the year when it decided to continue its reserves of gold and foreign currencies, most notably the USD and other main currencies, according to statistics released by the apex bank.


    The worth of the gold bullions has been enhancing over the past months, reaching AED2.71 billion in September 2019 before increasing to AED3.63 billion by the end of November, as the figures showed; by the end of 2018, the CBUAE's reserve of gold bullions totaled AED1.134 billion.
