ACWA Power signs 3 strategic agreements with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Energy
(MENAFN) As said in a statement by Uzbekistan's Ministry of Energy, 3 strategic deals with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Energy Riyadh-based ACWA Power were inked at a total worth of USD2 billion to improve power generation capacity and technical experience.
The agreement included a 25-year power purchase deal at a total investment worth of USD1.2 billion, under which the Saudi value will make and function a combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant.
The agreement also included a deal that values USD550 million-USD1.1 billion on the construction of a wind power plant with 500-1,000-megawatt (MW) capacity of clean energy.
The 3rd deal seeks to offer training programs to improve Uzbek students' technical experience.
